Executive Council Elections
Every Spring, the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, 3L Representatives, and 2L Representatives are elected.
Elections Procedure
To be a considered as a candidate, you must submit a copy of your petition signatures, a candidacy statement, a high-resolution photo of yourself, and a signed copy of the 2026 SBA Campaign Guidelines. Please see the SBA Constitution and Governing Documents for more information regarding elections. All of the following must be completed by March 11th at 11:59 PM.
You must complete the following to petition for candidacy:
You must obtain 25 signatures, using the SBA Petition Form.
Candidates for 3L and 2L Representative must collect 25 signatures solely from members of their class. Candidates for any of the other positions can collect signatures from any class.
You must write a Candidacy Statement (250 words or less), describing why you would like to take on an SBA position & what makes you a good candidate.
You must upload your headshot.
You must sign the 2026 Campaign Guidelines sheet.
Once you have completed all of these, fill out and submit this form, and send the materials to uclawsba@ucmail.uc.edu and the Election Commissioner, Janos Roper (roperjm@mail.uc.edu).
If you get the requisite signatures, complete the candidate statement form, and the Elections Guidelines form, the Election Commissioner email you to confirm that your name will be put on the ballot.
Voting will take place electronically, and voting will occur between April 1st at 8:00 AM until April 2nd at 5:00 PM. You will receive an email with instructions for voting procedures at that time.
